This week I would like to take things back a notch and invite you to give yourself a break…It’s time to take some time out for you and indulge in a little self care.

Self care is absolutely essential to your wellbeing all the time – but it is especially important when you are working on any kind of big project, planning an event or travel to help keep up your stamina & energy. Sadly it is often one of the first things to go when we are busy and what does this usually lead to? Burn out or illness and ain’t nobody got time for that!!

When I am talking about self care I am not just talking about making sure your nails are pretty and your hair is washed (although these things are nice). I am also talking about the basic needs of your body and making sure you are giving it what it needs to function at it’s peak.

  • Get enough sleep – at least 7-8 hours
  • Get rest time too – read, have a bath, meditate, sit under a tree and chill, have a pamper session
  • Move your body at least 3 times for 30 minutes a week
  • Eat nourishing healthy foods
  • Drink loads of water
  • Limit alcohol, caffeine, sugar & processed foods


Listen to your body and give it what it needs. 


Planning something big can be hectic and you want to make sure you are up to the task so this week (and every week), take good care of you!
